Who We Are

St John's Honeypot was the brain child of the wife of the parish priest at the local church, St John the Evangelist in Upper Studley on the outskirts of Trowbridge. In the early 1980's she decided that something should be done to reduce the isolation felt by many elderly people.

The idea took hold and grew into the registered UK charity we have become today. Always upholding the highest standards we are now officially a day centre.

Things are run through a committee of volunteer trustees who meet quartely and work with a resource group taken from the members that actually attend our group. The day to day control of the running is managed through our hard working and highly skilled organiser Mrs Kerry Lewis.

Kerry is supported by a team of volunteer helpers who ensure that everything gets done, from laying out tables to washing up cups. We are always looking out for more volunteers, click here if you think you might like to volunteer.

We also have volunteers that just help members come to St John's Honeypot. These kind people drive nominated members to and from the church hall we use. Please note many of the people attending our group have no means of transport.

Please note we are a day centre and not a day care centre. We cannot support serious medical needs and all prospective members of St John's Honeypot must first be interviewed by the organiser.
